Storm threat shifts after day of hail, wind in central US
- "And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. " Luke 21:11KJV
LITTLE
ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The nation's midsection prepared for another day of
foul weather Wednesday after a series of storms brought huge hail and
high winds, but not as many tornadoes as had been feared.
The
Nation Weather Service Storm Prediction Center said 60 million people
from the Gulf Coast to the Midwest east to North Carolina and Virginia
should be alert for strong storms. The nastiest weather was forecast
from Houston north into Iowa.
"This
type of environment will support supercells capable of all hazards,
although large hail appears to be the primary severe threat,"
forecasters said Tuesday, looking ahead to Wednesday's weather.
Hail
as big as grapefruit fell in northern Kansas on Tuesday, while winds
approaching hurricane force — 74 mph — raked communities from Nebraska
and Missouri to Texas. Uprooted trees, downed power lines and roof
damage were reported in parts of Texas and Oklahoma.
No
deaths were reported. In northern Texas, four people were hospitalized
after their vehicles were caught up in a tornado that hit late Tuesday,
Howe Police Chief Carl Hudman said.
Forecasters
said last week that the nation could have seen significant tornadoes
Tuesday, but that conditions weren't right for the biggest storms.
Still, the hail and high winds were frightening enough.
Hail
4 inches in diameter fell northwest of Marysville, Kansas, and
residents of Topeka, Kansas, eyed the sky nervously during rush hour
after forecasters warned that a supercell thunderstorm could produce a
tornado at any moment.
A
tornado brushed fields south of Wichita, Kansas, and another small
twister touched down in southwestern Indiana. A storm that cleared
Oklahoma City around sunset may have dropped a tornado or two during a
90-mile march to Tulsa. Power was knocked out to thousands.
The
core of the bad weather forecast shifts back to Oklahoma and Texas on
Thursday and Friday, then Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas on Saturday.
Ahead
of Tuesday's storms, some Oklahoma school districts either shuttered
schools for the day or sent students home early, hoping they would
remain safe.
In
Fairview, George Eischen, 51, spent the morning moving Chevies into his
shop and showroom to protect them from hail — "the real enemy of the
car dealer."
Workers
at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, Missouri, did
something similar with airplanes when the skies turned a "mean green"
ahead of a line of storms.
"We were able to get most of the airplanes into hangars," aviation director John Bales said.

Turkish President Erdogan Seizes Six Christian Churches, Making Them State Property
Turkish President Erdogan Seizes Six Christian Churches, Making Them State Property
The 1,700-year-old Virgin Mary Syriac Orthodox Church in Diyarbakir was one of the churches seized.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's administration recently seized six churches
as state property in the volatile southeastern part of Turkey. As
World Watch Monitor reports:After 10 months of urban conflict in Turkey’s war-torn southeast, the government has expropriated huge sections of property, apparently to rebuild and restore the historical centre of the region’s largest city, Diyarbakir. But to the dismay of the city’s handful of Christian congregations, this includes all its Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant churches. Unlike the state-funded mosques, Turkey’s ancient church buildings – some of which pre-date Islam – have been managed, historically, by church foundations.Because of this move, the churches in Diyarbakir now factually belong to the state. This includes a church that was built 1,700 years ago, and a new one, built in 2003.
Earlier this year the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of the Western United States published a photo of one of the seized churches writing: "Our Church, the Syriac Orthodox Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Maryam Ana), in Diyarbakir - Turkey, had been attacked a few days ago. The wall of the Church was hit with explosives, our dear priest father Yusuf Akbulut with his wife were threatened in their home in the court of the church."
It's always problematic when a state takes over churches, but that's even more the case in a Muslim majority country, which Turkey is: 99% of Turks are Muslim. What makes matters even more troubling is that the current president, Erdoğan, isn't merely an authoritarian ruler, but also an Islamist.
Most criticism of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan nowadays is directed at his horrendous policy towards ISIS (he's credited with helping ISIS grow, either by arming the group directly or by allowing it to grow because it undermined Syrian President Bashar al-Assad), his horrific treatment of critical journalists, or his war on the PKK, which many people believe to be a war on the Kurdish people. I don't agree with the latter, but with regards to the first two points, his critics are completely right. The church seizures are just one more reason to tell Erdoğan enough is enough.
Ted Cruz's foreign policy advisor, Victoria Coates, told PJ Media the seizure fits into a pattern in the Middle East, where Christians are systematically displaced and persecuted. Although Erdoğan for a long time got away with his authoritarian and Islamist tendencies, times are a-changing. Coates said American Republicans aren't happy with Erdoğan's self-declared "New Turkey." She noted that Turkey's seizure of the churches in Diyarbakir fits into a wider pattern in the Middle East. "What's happening in southern Turkey is all too typical in the Middle East today, as ancient Christian communities are displaced and persecuted by sectarian violence," she said.
She isn't exaggerating. In Syria and Iraq Christians are faced with genocide. And now this in Turkey, a supposed ally of the West.
Coates continued: "The government of Turkey should move swiftly to return these churches to their rightful owners, and not take advantage of the situation to seize them permanently."
The seizure has also set off alarm bells in Europe, where Dutch Christian Democrats (of the CDA party) are demanding action from their government. In parliamentary questions (PDF alert) directed at the Dutch foreign minister, MPs Omtzigt and Knops accused Erdoğan of violating human rights. They added that a police official is accused of making a Turkish nationalist salute in the St. Giragos church after the seizure, and even saying: "Sultan Alp Arslan's grandchildren will bring the unbelievers of churches to the faith."
The intention of that comment is obvious: the official sees the seizure as a means to force Christians to convert to Islam.
MP's Omtzigt and Knops added:
Are you [the foreign minister] prepared to aggressively protest the seizure of these churches to the Turkish government? And are you willing to address this issue at the EU, the Council of Europe, and other forums? The Christian Democrats also point out that some of the seized churches were targeted by Turkish tanks in battles between the Turkish army and sympathizers of the PKK, a Kurdish terrorist organization. This seems, they argue, to be in violation of the law of war. That's why they want to convince the Dutch cabinet to officially demand an independent investigation into the behavior of Turkey's security forces.
It's now up to the Dutch government to follow the CDA's lead and convince the rest of Europe to finally act against President Erdoğan. It has to be made clear to him that he risks international isolation if he doesn't return these churches to their rightful owners. And although I have little to no faith in President Obama's willingness to protect Christians in Turkey and the rest of the Middle East, Erdoğan undoubtedly understands that he'll be in serious trouble if Ted Cruz (or another real conservative Republican) wins the presidential elections in the U.S. later this year.
Earthquake kills 77 in Ecuador; emergency workers rush in
Earthquake kills 77 in Ecuador; emergency workers rush in
QUITO, Ecuador (AP) — The strongest earthquake to hit
Ecuador in decades flattened buildings and buckled highways along its
Pacific coast, sending the Andean nation into a state of emergency. As
rescue workers rushed in, officials said Sunday at least 77 people were
killed, over 570 injured and the damage stretched for hundreds of miles
to the capital and other major cities.
The magnitude-7.8 quake was centered on Ecuador's sparsely populated fishing ports and tourist beaches, 170 kilometers (105 miles) northwest of Quito, the capital.
Vice President Jorge Glas gave the updated death toll early Sunday at a news conference. Earlier, he said there were deaths in the cities of Manta, Portoviejo and Guayaquil — all several hundred kilometers (miles) from the center of the quake struck shortly after nightfall.
He said the quake was the strongest to hit Ecuador since 1979 and accessing the disaster zone was difficult due to landslides.
"We're trying to do the most we can, but there's almost nothing we can do," said Gabriel Alcivar, mayor of Pedernales, a town of 40,000 near the quake's epicenter.
Alcivar pleaded for authorities to send earth-moving machines and emergency rescue workers as dozens of buildings in the town were flattened, trapping residents among the rubble. He said looting had broken out amid the chaos but authorities were too busy trying to save lives to re-establish order.
"This wasn't just a house that collapsed, it was an entire town," he said.
President Rafael Correa signed a decree declaring a national emergency and rushed home from a visit to Rome, urging Ecuadoreans to stay strong while authorities handle the disaster.
Ecuador's Risk Management agency said 10,000 armed forces had been deployed to help. In addition, 3,500 national police were sent to the towns of Manabí, Esmeraldas and Guayas y Santa Elena; 500 firefighters were heading to Manabi and Pedernales and five shelters had been set up for those who had to evacuate their homes.
On social media, photos circulated of homes reduced to rubble, a shopping center's roof torn apart, supermarket shelves shaking violently and a collapsed highway overpass that crushed a car. In Manta, the airport was closed after the control tower collapsed, injuring an air traffic control worker and a security guard.
In the capital Quito, people fled into the streets in fear as the quake shook their buildings. It knocked out electricity in several neighborhoods and six homes collapsed but after a few hours, power was being restored, Quito's Mayor Mauricio Rodas said.

"I'm in a state of panic," said Zoila
Villena, one of many Quito residents who congregated in the streets. "My
building moved a lot and things fell to the floor. Lots of neighbors
were screaming and kids crying."
Among those killed was the driver of a car crushed by an overpass that buckled in Guayaquil, the country's most populous city. The city's international airport was also briefly closed. Hydroelectric dams and oil pipelines in the OPEC-member nation were shut down as a precautionary measure but so there were no reports of damage to them.
Towns near the epicenter were evacuated as a precautionary measure in case of hazardous tsunami waves but several hours later authorities said was safe for coastal residents to return to their homes.
Sports events and concerts were cancelled until further notice nationwide.
"It's very important that Ecuadoreans remain calm during this emergency," Glas said from Ecuador's national crisis room.
The U.S. Geological Survey originally put the quake at a magnitude of 7.4 then raised it to 7.8. It had a depth of 19 kilometers (12 miles). Dozens of aftershocks followed, one as strong as 6 on the Richter scale, and authorities urged residents to brace for even stronger ones in the coming hours and days.
David Rothery, a professor of geosciences at The Open University northeast of London said the quake was about six times as strong as the most powerful of two deadly earthquakes across the Pacific, in the southernmost of Japan's four main islands. A magnitude-6.5 earthquake struck Thursday near Kumamoto, followed by a magnitude-7.0 earthquake just 28 hours later. The quakes have killed 41 people and injured about 1,500, flattened houses and triggered major landslides.
On Sunday, thousands of rescue workers searched a debris-strewn village in southern Japan for about a half-dozen missing people as U.S. military aircraft rushed to join the relief mission.

Top 15 Richest Pastors In America (We promise that #1 will shock you)
an article i thought you would be intrested in these false prophets need to be prayed for, that
they get truly saved while there is still little
time left.
Top 15 Richest Pastors In America (We promise that #1 will shock you)
The business of religion for some can
be a very profitable profession to enter. Most people think of that
sentence in the spiritual sense, but this article is about the physical
worldly dollar.
It might be argued that the reason why
ministers are more likely to make money today is because they utilize
more money making opportunities such as writing books, producing movies
and speaking engagements.
Some of which make enough to have
private planes (Eddie Long) refurbished arenas as churches (Joel
Osteen) and flourishing press houses (Rick Warren).
There will be many who will say that
these pastors shouldn’t be making this much money. Before you judge,
keep in mind that the average yearly household salary in The Democratic
Republic of Congo in Africa is $422, so they could be saying the same
about you!
This article is not to bash anyone, it
is written to inspire you to dream bigger. If you are not interested in

the leader of the Nation of Islam (NOI) movement. Louis Farrakhan joined
the organization in 1955, and he was instrumental in preserving the
original teachings of the longtime NOI leader, Elijah Muhammad.
He was the man to stand behind the
rebuilding of NOI, once it was disbanded by Elijah Muhammad’s son,
Warith Deen Muhammad, who started the orthodox Islamic group American
Society of Muslims. Farrakhan restored the name Nation of Islam for the
organization in 1981 and went on to regain most of the Nation of Islam’s
National properties like the NOI National Headquarters Mosque Maryam,
as well as over 130 NOI mosques throughout America and the world. In the
process, his controversial political views and outspoken rhetorical
style have been either praised or widely criticized.
Black religious and social leader as he
was, Farrakhan earned the tag “antisemite” by Southern Poverty Law
Center. In October 1995, he led the Million Man March in Washington,
D.C., where he called on black people to renew their vows to their
families and communities. Today, Louis Farrakhan continues to be active
in the NOI, but he has dramatically reduced his responsibilities due to
health issues.
Book of Exodus Comes Alive as Photos Emerge of Blood-Red Nile
Book of Exodus Comes Alive as Photos Emerge of Blood-Red Nile
“In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD–behold, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.” Exodus 7:17 (The Israel Bible™)
The Ten Plagues seemed to make a return over the weekend as photos emerged of the Nile River in Egypt looking just as the Book of Exodus described it thousands of years ago:
And the LORD said unto Moshe: ‘Say unto Aharon: Take thy rod, and stretch out thy hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’ And Moshe and Aharon did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. Exodus 7:19-20The incredible image, taken by the European Space Agency’s (ESA) new Sentinel-3A satellite, was released on Friday to worldwide wonder and awe. The photo, which shows the Nile and surrounding desert areas of northern Africa, Egypt, and the Middle East, reveals a sight many faithful have imagined, but never seen: the Nile River turned from its normal blue to bright, blood-red.
The timing has special significance as the holiday of Passover, which celebrates Moses leading the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, is fast approaching. Jews all over the world will pay tribute to the Ten Plagues during the special Passover meal, reciting the names of each plague in Hebrew.
Blood, or “dam” in Hebrew, represents the first plague which God sent to punish the Egyptians after Pharaoh refused to release the Israelites from slavery. According to the Bible, all of the water in Egypt turned to blood, not just the Nile.
This time, there is a scientific explanation for the red color seen in the satellite photo: the river is rendered crimson by the vegetation surrounding the Nile, combined with the type of imaging used by the satellite. The satellite’s radiometer measures energy radiating from the Earth’s surface, and the heat emanating from the vegetation expresses in the infrared spectrum – resulting in the color red.
This type of data analysis helps scientists to better understand the state of vegetation, the ESA wrote on its website.
Along its orbit around the planet, the satellite will measure Earth’s oceans, land, ice and atmosphere to document global climate dynamics, providing real-time information on ocean and weather forecasting, wildfires, vegetation patterns, and the depths of rivers and lakes.
While the image of the blood-red Nile is certainly startling to the Bible-minded eye, it seems in this case that the color change is not the result of a heavenly mandate but a man-made camera orbiting the heavens.
As a King James Bible believing Christian
here is the scripture from the King James.
"17 Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
19 And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
You’ll Never Guess Which Biblical Plague Has Appeared in Afghanistan
You’ll Never Guess Which Biblical Plague Has Appeared in Afghanistan
“So there was hail, and fire flashing up
amidst the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of
Egypt since it became a nation.” Exodus 9:24 (The Israel Bible™)
Yet
another scene from the Book of Exodus has come to life as the seventh
plague, described by the Bible as fire and hail mixed together, has
miraculously appeared in a desert in Afghanistan.
A video posted on Sod1820, a religious Hebrew-language website, shows a group of people gathered in amazement around the source of a flowing spring in the desert on the border between Iran and Afghanistan. The reason for their shock is immediately apparent: large flames shoot out from the hole in the sand from which water flows.
The incredible sight follows close on the heels of another recent Biblical vision which awed the world: a satellite photo which showed the Nile River flowing bright red in an image directly reminiscent of God’s first plague against the Egyptians.

The latest inexplicable event is
amazingly similar to the Biblical account of the seventh plague (Exodus
9:18-35), which describes a perfectly natural phenomenon, hail, that
takes on a miraculous dimension when appearing along with its
diametrical opposite – fire.
The Bible prefaces the plague of hail in Exodus 9:14: “For
I will this time send all My plagues upon thy person, and upon thy
servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none
like Me in all the earth.” The language implies that it is equal to all
of the other plagues combined.
“So there was hail, and fire flashing up amidst the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.” Exodus 9:24
Though there is undeniably a logical and scientific explanation for
the bizarre phenomenon of water and fire together, the Biblical origins
of the image are too clear to be denied. This particular spring of
water in Afghanistan may not be a miracle, but it is clearly a reminder
of the lessons the Bible teaches through the description of the plagues
in Egypt.

The Israel Bible gives an explanation of why the seventh plague was especially poignant in a way that is especially appropriate for the difficult times we live in.
“The hail
contains both fire and ice, yet the fire does not melt the ice and the
water of the ice does not extinguish the fire. They are able to exist
in harmony for the purpose of fulfilling God’s will. Similarly, the
medieval commentator Rashi comments (Gen. 1:8) that the Hebrew word for heaven, ‘shamayim,’ comes from the Hebrew words ‘aish’ (fire) and ‘mayim’ (water),
as the two came together in harmony to make up the heavens. This
serves as a powerful lesson of peace and is referenced in the daily
Jewish prayer service. The following supplication appears multiple
times in the liturgy: ‘He Who makes peace in His heights (between fire
and water), may He make peace, upon us and upon all Israel.’”
Hints
of the Biblical plagues have been appearing lately, seemingly in
preparation for the Passover seder, when all of Israel will be retelling
the story of the Exodus. The recent image of a blood-red Nile was the
result of a special imaging process, but it was universally recognizable
as a scene straight from the Bible, with even secular news sites making the Biblical connection.
That is the article and as a King James Bible believing Christian here is those
scriptures in King James.
"So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation." Exodus 9:24 KJV
"For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth." Exodus 9:14 KJV
"And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day."
Genesis 1:8 KJV
"18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28 Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
29 And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD'S.
30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
32 But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
